- Lufthansa serves
the airport Tegel regular since October 28th. 1990. Domestic flights
were operated at first in close cooperation with Euroberlin
and Pan
Am. The first international destinations were Barcelona, Helsinki,
London, Madrid, Milan, Paris, Stockholm, Vienna and Zurich and from
March 31st. 1991 New York too. Most of these routes were suspended after
a short period or transferred to DLT.
From the end of March 1992 new routes to Budapest, Istanbul, Nice, Rome
and Thessaloniki were opened, but dropped after a short period too.
Also temporary destinations were Athens, Dublin and Moscow. With the
summer timetable 2001 a daily line service to Washington was opened
but cancelled at the end of September of the same year too.
