ModiLuft wurde 1993 von der Lufthansa mit indischen Geschäftspartnern gegründet und deren erste Boeing 737-200 (ehemals D-ABFL) wurde am 04. Juli 1993 nach Indien überführt. 1997 kam allerdings das Aus für diese Gesellschaft und die Lufthansa holte sich die Maschinen wieder zurück, wovon drei über einen langen Zeitraum in SXF abgestellt wurden. Diese hier ging dann später als N122NJ an Vanguard Airlines in die USA.

ModiLuft was established in 1993 by Lufthansa with indian business partners and whose first Boeing 737-200 (formerly D-ABFL) was transferred to India on July 04th. 1993. In 1997, this airline ceased operations and Lufthansa got back the machines again, by what three were stopped over for a long time period at SXF. This one later went to Vanguard Airlines to the USA and was registered as N122NJ.
