Die Erstlandung der Ryanair erfolgte bereits am 02. September 1994 mit der B737-200 EI-CJI auf einem Charterflug.

Mit dem Erstflug einer Boeing 737-800 (EI-CSS) am 01. Mai 2003, eröffnete diese irische Niedrigpreis-Fluggesellschaft dann einen Liniendienst von London/STN nach Berlin/SXF, welcher anfangs drei Mal pro Tag angeboten, aber später auf zwei Mal täglich reduziert wurde.

Ab März 2006 kam nun ein weiterer täglicher Flug aus East Midlands/EMA nach Berlin hinzu.

With the first flight of a Boeing 737-800 (EI-CSS) on May 01st. 2003, the low-cost airline introduced a regular line service between London/STN and Berlin/SXF, operated thrice daily, but later reduced to twice daily.

Since March 2006, Ryanair started a once daily flight from East Midlands/EMA to Berlin.
