• Mit zwei Erstflügen am 28. April 2004 begann eine neue Ära für den Flughafen Schönefeld, denn diese englische Billigfluglinie hatte kurz zuvor bekannt gegeben, auf diesem Berliner Flughafen ein Drehkreuz einzurichten.

• Orange ist mittlerweile die dominierende Farbe auf den Flugzeugen auf der Ramp und für die Statistik folgen an dieser Stelle einige Angaben zu den Eröffnungsflügen:
  28. April: Erstflüge nach London/LTN mit B737-700 (G-EZJM) und Liverpool mit B737-700 (G-EZKD).
  01. Mai: Erstflug nach Newcastle mit B737-700 (G-EZJX).
  06. Mai: Erstflug nach Paris/Orly mit B737-300 (G-EZKE).
  12. Mai: Erstflüge nach Athen, Copenhagen und Nizza jeweils mit A319-100 (G-EZEF).
  20. Mai: Erstflüge nach Basel, Bristol und Palma de Mallorca jeweils mit A319-100 (G-EZEJ).
  09. Juni: Erstflug nach Barcelona mit A319-100 (G-EZEC).
  17. Juni: Erstflüge nach Budapest und Neapel mit A319-100 (G-EZEC).
  28.Oktober: Erstflug nach Tallinn mit A319-100 (G-EZET).
  31.Oktober: Erstflüge nach Krakau mit A319-100 (G-EZEV) und Madrid mit A319-100 (G-EZED).
  25.November: Erstflüge nach Bratislava mit A319-100 (G-EZEU), Genf mit A319-100 (G-EZEJ),
                           Ljubljana mit A319-100 (G-EZEK) und Riga mit A319-100 (G-EZAM).
  27. März 2005: Erstflug nach Valencia mit A319-100 (G-EZDC).
  08. April 2005: Erstflüge nach Olbia mit A319-100 (G-EZIC) und Pisa mit A319-100 (G-EZPG).
  13. April 2005: Erstflug nach Aachen/Maastricht mit A319-100 (G-EZIC).
  21. September 2005: Erstflüge nach Rom/CIA und Mailand mit A319-100 (G-EZEB).
  26. September 2005: Erstflug nach London/LGW mit A319-100 (G-EZIN).
  26. März 2006: Erstflug nach Malaga/AGP mit A319-100 (G-EZIL).

• With two opening flights on April 28th. 2004 a new era for the airport Schönefeld began, because this english low-cost carrier had given a go-ahead shortly before to establish a major hub at this Berlin airport.

• And now orange is the dominant color on the airplanes at the apron and for the statistics in the meantime, here are the infos about the opening flights:
