Condor Berlin

• Am 18. Februar 1998 landete der erste von insgesamt 12 Airbus A320-200 in Berlin/SXF. Damit hatte der Flughafen wieder einen "Homecarrier", denn Condor als Muttergesellschaft wählte diesen Standort als Basis ihrer neuen Tochtergesellschaft, inklusive der Anmietung eines Hangars zu Wartungszwecken.

• Die Condor Berlin Flotte flog dann verstärkt ab Berlin zu den klassischen Ferienzielen, wobei es mit dem Einstieg des Reiseveranstalters Thomas Cook ab 2002 kurzzeitig zu einer Umbennung in Thomas Cook Airline kam.

• Seit 2004 kehrte man jedoch wieder zum besser bekannten Namen Condor zurück.

• On February 18th. 1998, the first of altogether 12 Airbus A320-200 arrived at Berlin/SXF. Since then the airport became again a "homecarrier", because Condor as mother-society choose this location as basis of her new subsidiary including the aquisition of a hangar for maintenance purposes.

• The fleet of Condor Berlin flew mainly from Berlin to the classic vacation destinations then and with the entry of the tour operator Thomas Cook in 2002, the airline was renamed into Thomas Cook Airline for a short while.

• However, since 2004 the better known Condor titles are back again on all aircraft.
